7 Generations

That is something I've asked myself a lot. To start I go by Kehiyo. I'm a 26 year old Indigenous father and entrepreneur. I've lived most of my life being ashamed of who I am. Not just my Indigeneity but me as a person. I never really had anyone to look up to growing up, and as a result I messed up my life pretty bad. Shame, insecurity and failure seemed to be the only things that followed me around.

7 Generations came to me during a 96 hour no water and no food fasting ceremony in the mountains. On my 3rd day I wanted to quit. I walked up to the elder that was leading the ceremony to tell him I'm out. And suddenly I was struck with the idea "7 Generations". Flashes of ideas and teaching flooded my mind. The idea that each and every one of us at ANY moment are capable of completely changing the course of our lives and building something so great that it will be felt for generations to come.

You are your greatest project. You are capable of so much more than you think.

I get this is supposed to be an 'About Me' but without you none of this would be possible.

Maybe it sounds a bit melodramatic but I promise you it's not. I've been on both sides of shame and pride, insecurity and confidence, depression and happiness, and all I have to say is, life can be so much more than what it is right now.
